As usual the year is flying by, with the first quarter of 2010 already complete!

Neotechnology Business Systems has officially qualified as a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner based on the Amicus Point of Sale software and positive customer feedback. By becoming a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner NBS now has access to a large variety of resources and training helping Neotechnology to better meet partner and customer support and point of sale needs.

New POS system -Amicus Lite!

Neotechnology have released a new point of sale software system called Amicus Lite. Amicus Lite is designed to be used as a smart cash register, for cusotmers not quite ready for a fully featured POS system.

Amicus' great features such as multi-buys, the intuitive user interface and easy uploading of product information are still available, differentiating Amicus Lite from a cash register.

Much of the complex POS functionality has been removed, including:

• In depth stock control;
• Specialised rule- based pricing;
• Data importation logic; and
• Majority of the reporting library (except for sales and customer reports).

The user interface relies on the touch screen interface only with some access to back office functionality via buttons at the top of the screen. This includes:

• Most of the Maintenance and Sales functionality; and
• The ability to add / edit products and customers.

Free Amicus Licences for Education Institutes!

Late last year NBS announced we would provide free Amicus POS software licences for educational institutes; two organisations have taken us up on this offer so far. The first organisation contacted NBS directly and is from Melbourne; Carrick Education Institute. Carrick Education is a private education institute with courses in hospitality, English, vocational and higher education.

South West Institute of TAFE in Warrnambool, Victoria, also installed and Amicus POS systeme and is being serviced and supported by one of our Amicus Authorised Partners. Restaurant point of sale system licences were provided, for use in hospitality front of house and for back office training purposes.
